CNCmarket.ca Inc. has acquired Hillburn Machine Shop Inc., a Calgary machining business with a long-standing base of local industrial customers. The shop keeps its people, its machines and its work. It now trades as Volk CNC.

We sell coolants and cutting tools. Until now we judged them the way every distributor does — from the supplier's data sheet, and from what customers told us after the sale. A shop of our own means we run those products in production, on paid parts, against real deadlines. When we say a coolant holds up in stainless or that an end mill survives a particular cut, it is because we have run it ourselves.
Separately, day to day. VolkCNC takes machining work on its own account and keeps the service standard Hillburn was known for — same shop, same phone, same people. CNCmarket.ca and CNCvalue.ca carries on as the CNC machine, tooling, workholding and metalworking fluids business, online and with prices on the page.
Under one company, the two feed each other: the shop gets tooling at cost and tells us what actually works, and our customers get advice from people who ran the job rather than read about it.
